Commissioned in 1935 by the then United States’ president Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Hoover Dam is one of the world’s tallest dams. Thousands of workers were involved in the construction of the dam, which was mainly built for irrigation in the hottest area of United States. The dam seizes Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the US in terms of volume.
The flight takes approximately 1 hour 10 minutes to reach the Grand Canyon. In the airplane, you will be provided with headphones with digital music and narration in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai and Russian.
The Grand Canyon National Park South Rim is a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, it was named as an official national park in 1919. It’s an endless expanse of layers of rocks of different colors which recede down to form an indomitable gorge. The sites presented by the different viewpoints of the rim drastically transform from dawn to dusk.
Once you reach the national park, you will be taken for a ground tour with a well-informed guide. During the course of the tour, you will stop at two of the best viewpoints where you will get ample photo opportunities and unforgettable, panoramic views. Plus, enjoy a lunch pack at one of the vantage points.
After spending ample quality time at the national park, you will board a return flight to Las Vegas, from where an AC coach will drop you to your hotel.
