Visit the two UNESCO World Heritage sites of Stonehenge and Bath on this fantastic day tour from London!
After the pick-ups, you will be heading west to visit Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that continues to amaze and mystify experts and tourists till this day. Arrive at Stonehenge and walk around the mystifying circular formation of tall, standing stones. Experts still debate whether these were intended as an observatory of the moon, a temple to the sun, or an elaborate cemetery. Believed to have been built between 3000 and 2000 BC, the prehistoric stone circle and its surroundings having recently been restored back to its original, unaltered landscape.
After spending quality time at Stonehenge, you will hop back to your coach and head towards the beautiful Georgian city of Bath. Yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site, there’s much to see and explore in this quaint and charming town. Take an orientation tour of the Bath attractions and see the Pulteney Bridge, Bath Circus, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths (entrance to Bath attractions is optional). Bath boasts charming independent boutiques as well as sweeping vistas. You will get enough free time to explore this delightful city at your leisure.
Optional Roman Baths Admission:
No tour to Bath is complete without a visit to the best preserved Roman religious spa from the ancient world, the Roman Baths.
One of the finest historic sites in Northern Europe, the Roman Baths is an absolute must-visit. The plumbing and drainage system is still largely in place and its Britain’s only remaining hot spring.
