What's the plan:
To join your Whale Watch Cruise From Sydney you should make your way to the designated meeting point. You will be welcomed aboard your 21-meter catamaran.
Sydney is an excellent place for whale watching. Every year, between late May and late November, thousands of humpback and other whales migrate along the Australian coastline to their feeding and breeding grounds.
Whale watchers from Sydney are able to catch the whales on both the winter migration northwards (late May to August) and the spring migration southwards (September to November).
Unlike other migrating whales, humpbacks tend to swim quite close to shore, which makes them easy to see. They are also the most exciting whales to watch because they often leap right out of the water, a type of behavior known as ‘breaching’.
Your cruise will take you out to Sydney Heads and into the Pacific. During the trip, an expert marine biologist will give a commentary on the wildlife. You may encounter dolphins and seals as well as a rich variety of ocean birds. These could include the wandering albatross, penguins, petrels, shearwaters, and skuas among others.
A buffet BBQ lunch will be served during the 4-hour cruise.
At the end of the trip you will be dropped back to the original departure point.
